Central Power Ltd was incorporated on 3rd August 2004. The company is based in
Wednesfield near M6 unction 10 and is ideally placed to service clients in both
the East and West Midlands. Central Power has the necessary resources to
provide, install and maintain high and low voltage electrical power systems to
all High Voltage (HV) customers.
The team at Central Power have between them over 100 years experience in the
electricity supply industry.

All
engineers are fully trained and qualified to work on HV equipment.

At
Central Power we comply with the relevant HSE legislation.

All
H V maintenance work is conducted to BS6626:1985 and BS6867:1987 codes of
practice within an EN.ISO9000 environment.

The company is owned equally by the 3 directors of the business: Redmond
Cosgrove, Mark Jarrett and Michael Kennedy. All 3 directors were
previously employed as senior managers within Central Networks Contracting -
formerly MEB Contracting.

Operational safety
All three directors are highly skilled and trained installers of electrical
power systems and hold current NEBOSH certificates. They have worked in
the industry for the greater part of their working lives and are fully competent
in all areas of operational safety.
Reliability and Quality
Due to the requirement for business owners to maintain their electrical systems,
they seek reliable maintenance providers, who will provide a quality service,
meeting the customers’ needs in terms of value for money and safety. The
directors and skilled craftsmen have proven track records of offering
reliability and quality in all aspects of their work.
Responsiveness
We aim to differentiate our
service from the competition by responding to phone calls and correspondence
promptly and courteously, resolving problems quickly and sympathetically.
Loss of power supply to our customers can prove very disruptive and costly if it
were not actioned quickly, we therefore offer 365 day 24- hour response to all
our customers and endeavour to attend site within 4 hours of a call.

Directors
Managing Director– Redmond Cosgrove, Ieng, MIET,
MCMI
Redmond is a registered member of the Institution
of Incorporated Engineers and has over 30 years experience of working in the
electricity industry, building up general management, sales and marketing skills
over this time.
Redmond boasts a series of Electrical and
Electronic qualifications including an MBA in Business Administration.
In addition to his academic achievements Redmond
has worked as Senior Authorised Person since 1985, and has gained invaluable
experience from working as an SAP on both private and electricity company
distribution networks.
Finance Director – Mark Jarrett, Ieng, MIET
Mark has worked within the electricity industry for 20 years. During this
time, he has worked his way through the ranks from Project Engineer to his
Business Manager.
Most recently at MEB contracting his role as the ‘Utilities’ Business Manager
involved managing the maintenance and replacement program of Central Network’s
11kv distribution system.
Mark has achieved several qualifications in Electrical and Electronic
Engineering, Construction and Management studies throughout his career.
Mark attained Senior Authorised Person status in 1994 and is experienced in most
types of switch gear and cable networks up to 11kv.
Operations Director – Michael Kennedy
Michael has worked in the electricity industry
for over 27 years and experienced several promotions in his working career
rising from an apprentice electrician to Business Manager within Central
Networks Contracting.
Michael is credited as being one of the first craftsmen to attain multi skilled
status within MEB, and quickly progressed along the engineering route -
attaining Senior Authorised Person status in 1994. With this level of
knowledge and experience Michael is the ideal candidate to become the companies
Operations Director -
managing industrial staff, transport, logistics and health and safety compliance
issues
During his career Michael achieved several
work-related qualifications, and has attended a range of management training and
development courses.

identified as the primary critical success factor within Central Power and
whilst the 3 directors currently hold NEBOSH certificates and actively promote
an ethos of operational safety in all their work, the company employs an
external safety advisor to carry independent safety inspections /tours.
His role is to identify improvements to existing safety practices and is
fundamental to the continued growth of this business.
